Community meeting at Sebec Village Reading Room

Submitted by Seth Barden on June 17, 2018 - 12:06pm

SEBEC - The Sebec Village Associates has invited the public to attend a community meeting at the Reading Room on Wednesday, June 27 at 6:30 pm. With the explosion of Internet access, the relevance of libraries is being questioned, but the goal of the SVA is to reverse this thinking and create a library that is a vital, exciting destination for the community. There are many opportunities for family activities and education support for youth at the library.  Coffee, tea, and the famous Reading Room baked goods will be provided free of charge.

The library hours for The Sebec Village Reading Room Library have been established for June: Mondays, 6-8 pm; Thursdays, 9:30 - 11:30 am; Fridays, 1-3 pm.  Use of the library is free. Not only is there a collection of fiction and non-fiction, there are books on CDs, large print books, and DVDs.

Mark your calendar to attend the community meeting on June 27. If you have any questions or ideas, contact Sue Small at 564-7079 or Barbara Mauzy at 564-3232.
