Atkinson: Cold Smoke Riders

Submitted by Izzy Warren on December 22, 2013 - 8:40pm

Cold Smoke Riders want you to know... The trail from Dover-Foxcroft to Milo is all groomed and in decent shape. ITS 82 to Sebec Village is open but not groomed. ITS 83 to Charleston is in rough shape and is "Pass at your own risk !". The club members are putting in a lot of time but Mother Nature's going to need to help. Speaking of help, if we get all the ice the weather man says there will be some trees down so watch the Cold Smoke Riders Facebook page for a starting place to go clear trails. We will need all the help we can get !

Good afternoon Milo.

We just took a report of 4 or 5 males in a pickup truck who are shoveling properties and charging very high prices. If you see a pickup truck with some type of snow removal sign on it, please get a description or a plate number. You can call us at 207.564.3304. We'd like to speak to them.

Remember, they cannot work on your property without your permission nor can they charge you.

After this last storm we have seen some issues with residents plowing snow ACROSS the road.
Please do not do this.
Not only is it against Maine State Law (29-A M.R.S.A. 2396), it also causes hazardous driving conditions.
