Update: as of Thursday morning at 9:30 the Medfford Road is now open.

MDOT has opened Pleasant Street and the Lakeview Road. Please use caution crossing any running water over the road.
The Medford Road remains closed at Wymans Farm. The Medford Road has high water running over.
The River Road is closed at Estes Farm.
The bridge at the Desmond Road is also closed.
Call us if you have any other info about flooding.

FLOOD WARNING FOR THE PISCATAQUIS RIVER AT MEDFORD

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CARIBOU ME HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING FOR THE PISCATAQUIS RIVER AT MEDFORD
FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING TO THURSDAY MORNING OR UNTIL THE WARNING IS CANCELLED.
AT 5:30 PM WEDNESDAY THE STAGE WAS 11.9 FEET.
MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
FLOOD STAGE IS 13.0 FEET.
FORECAST : RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE BY TOMORROW LATE MORNING AND CONTINUE TO RISE TO NEAR 13.9 FEET BY TOMORROW EVENING.
THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY THUR MORNING.


Atkinson/Sebec Road Closure

The bridge over the Piscataquis River at the Sebec/Atkinson town line was closed due to DOT safety concerns regarding the bridge and the high water.
Now the water has flooded the Stagecoach Road.
The road is blocked and traffic is being detoured.

The ice Jam in Pleasant River has broken and left assorted sized chunks of ice where the flood waters flowed earlier.

The long, cold winter has reduced PAWS resources to a minimum.
An Indoor Yard Sale will be held April 19 and 20 at Milo Town Hall starting at 8:00 am. daily.
