AOS 43 informational evening, Tuesday, November 18

Submitted by Izzy Warren on November 14, 2014 - 1:00pm

To: Municipal Officers and Citizens of AOS 43
From: Michael Wright - AOS 43 Superintendent
Re: Meeting - AOS 43 Information
Date of memo: November 6, 2014

We would like to invite all municipal officers and citizens of AOS 43 towns to attend an informational evening on Tuesday, November 18 at 6:00 p.m. in LaGrange regarding AOS43 and its relationship to SAD41 and SAD31. It has recently been brought to the attention of some of our board members that there is a perceived lack of understanding regarding the AOS and how it serves the two districts.
The purpose of the evening will be to present an overview of the AOS and to highlight the following:

  • What the AOS is, and what it is not.
  • What did the original plan call for and how is that going ?
  • What are the cost savings involved with the AOS ?
  • What are the educational benefits of the AOS ?
  • How are things different now than before the AOS ?
  • How are they the same ?
