BANGOR AND MILO - Lawrence 'Larry' London, 76, lost his battle with cancer on July 22, 2018. He was born on November 5, 1941, in Milo, the son of George L. and Anniebelle (McLaughlin) London.
Larry graduated from Milo High School, Class of 1960. He then went on to earn a Bachelor's in Education from Farmington State Teachers College in 1965, and also received his Master's in Education from the University of Maine in 1969. A dedicated and beloved teacher in Bangor for 38 years and substitute teacher for an additional ten years, his love included teaching and, during retirement, antiques dealing.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Earl, Nelson, and Billy London. He is survived by his sons, Eric London of Spring Hill, Florida, and Jason London and his wife, Kari, of Newcastle; his granddaughter, Kaia London, who was very special to him; mother of his sons, Jean London, of Hampden; his brother, John London of Springfield; his sister-in-law, Judy London of Milo; as well as many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Larry's family wishes to thank Dr. Chodkiewicz and Fogg, and the team at Lafayette Family Cancer Center for their care and kindness during his journey.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service to be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with Rev. Booker, officiating.
