Scott recovered from the accident and became both Mom & Dad to his two young children. In 1973, Scott met and married Cynthia DiBiase. Together they had a daughter, Joyelle Dawn and the family became complete, strong, loving and grateful to have such a wonderful man in their world. The family moved to North Yarmouth in 1977 where the children attended Cumberland schools and where Scott and Cindy were kept very busy with life. Scott was employed by Edward C. Jordan Co. for over 20 years, later leaving the company to form the engineering firm Squaw Bay Corp. with his longtime friends and partners. Squaw Bay was renamed SYTDesign Consultants in 1999; remaining an active Civil Engineering firm in Cumberland, Maine until the present time. In 2006 Scott was diagnosed with leukemia and underwent two stem cell transplants. After many battles his leukemia was in remission. Unfortunately, in October, it was discovered that he had a glioblastoma cancerous brain tumor. Following surgery and some treatment, Cindy and their three children brought Scott home on December 20, 2013 and stayed by his side with love and admiration until he passed away on Monday, December 23rd.
