Barbara L. Turner

ORONO - Barbara L. Turner, 73, wife of the late Harold Turner, died January 9, 2013, at Orono Commons, Orono. She was born September 5, 1939, in LaGrange, the daughter of William and Amy Adelaide (Mott) Long. Barbara had worked as a stitcher at Dexter Shoe Co. and as a CRMA at Cummings Health Care in Howland for many years. She will be remembered as an incredibly hard worker and will be missed by all. She is survived by three sons, Jeffrey Turner and his wife, Suzanne of MA, Paul Turner and his wife, Shirley of Patten, and Timothy Turner and his wife, Laurie of LaGrange; three sisters, Phyllis Randall and her husband, Malcolm of Bradford, Loretta Reed of NH, and Kathy Herbest and husband, Ralph of Milo; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Harold and Daniel; a grandson, Brandon; a brother, John Long; and a sister, Karen Lambert. Friends and family are invited to a Gathering of Remembrance at the Milo Town Hall from Noon- 2PM Sunday, January 20, 2013. A graveside funeral service at the Hillside Cemetery, Bradford, will be held in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
