|MILO - Susanna Anita Goodine, 31, wife of Jeffrey Goodine, passed away peacefully to be with the angels Sept. 12, 2012, at her home, after fighting a stomach illness for the past 12 years. She was born June 28, 1981, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Randall Woodbury Sr. and Karen Meservey.|
Susie was a teacher's aide at Milo Head Start and loved getting new children each year. She enjoyed setting up her new home with her husband, planting flowers and getting everything just right, inside and out. Family was everything to Susie. She was very dedicated to her children and getting them involved in all kinds of sports, attending every game they ever had. When her daughter, Salena, got into Girl Scouts, she became assistant leader. When her son, Justin, became interested in reptiles, she took him to all the exhibits and even allowed him to hold a giant boa. Susie loved being "Grammie" to Brooklyn, taking her for rides, playing and teaching her everything. She also was a very dedicated daughter, helping her mother with setting up her new home, going to Beano, playing cards or just talking.
In addition to her loving husband and partner of 14 years, Jeff of Milo, Susie is survived by her parents, Randall Woodbury Sr. of Dexter and Karen Meservey of Milo; her son, Justin Goodine; her daughter, Salena Goodine; her stepdaughter, Kayla Goodine; her stepgranddaughter, Brooklyn; her brother, Randall Woodbury Jr. of Bangor; two sisters, Rhonda Burton of Dexter and Crystal Noyes of Dover-Foxcroft; her niece and nephews, Kayla, Colby and Demetri; two very special nephews, David Cianci of Atkinson and Caleb Webb of Milo; her stepfather, John Webb of Milo; her special stepdad, Herbert Sinclair of Sebec; her well loved mother-in-law, Sue Goodine of Milo; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. To mention a special friend or two would be impossible, she was loved by everyone. Susie was predeceased by both paternal and maternal grandparents; an aunt, Linda Richards; an uncle, Eugene Meservey; and a stepbrother, Dustin Sinclair.
Friends are invited to call 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, where funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, with Pastor Phil McGlauflin officiating. Burial will be at Sebec Corner Cemetery. After the visitations on Sunday, Karen and the family invite friends and family back to her house for a time of fellowship. Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
