BROWNVILLE - Richard E. Russell, 65, died June 2, 2012, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born May 20, 1947, in Brownville, son of William and Elsie (Lundin) Russell. He is survived by two sons, Patrick Russell and wife, Blanche, of Smyrna Mills and Peter Russell of Augusta; brother, Peter Russell and wife, Wanda, of Brownville Junction; two sisters, Regina Rahe of Arizona and Wanda Conlogue and husband, Hazen, of Brownville Junction; the mother of his children, Pamela Sanders of Houlton; sister-in-law, Elaine Russell of Milo; six grandchildren, Lyndsay, Kayli, Courtney, Megan, Mya and Ledger; great-granddaughter, Andrea; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be remembered by all his friends from Schoodic Lake, where he especially enjoyed spending time, including special friends, Roger and Terri Hicks, and Sophie MacKenzie. Richard was predeceased by two brothers, William Jr. and Ernest; niece, Shawna Smith; and nephew, Scott Tyler. Friends are invited to call 2 p.m. until time of memorial service 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, with Pastor Phil McGlauflin officiating. After the service, friends and family are invited to share fellowship and stories at American Legion Hall, Brownville Junction.
