SKOWHEGAN AND MILO - Winnifred "Winnie" E. Foulkes, 102, died Oct. 18, 2011, with her son, Jack and his wife, Gayle, by her side at Cedar Ridge Center, Skowhegan. She was born May 28, 1909, in Brownville, daughter of William and Jane Ellen (Jones) Ellis. She graduated from Brownville High School in 1927. Winnie worked for Dr. Carde for several years before her marriage to John S. Foulkes, Nov. 8, 1940. She was a resident of Milo and resided at Milo Garden Complex for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Davis and her husband, Joe, of Brewer; son, John "Jack" and his wife, Gayle, of Skowhegan; grandchildren, Jane Robiner and husband, Mitch and their children, Alexis, Taylor, Tyler and Nick, all of Tampa, Fla., Janice Houp and her children, Courtney and Ashley, all of Saco, and Joey Davis and his wife, So Yeon Jung and their son, Thomas, all of Milford, Conn.; stepgrandchildren, Kim Greenleaf, and Cory Greenleaf and his wife, Jolene; great-grandchildren, Cody Williamson, Connor and Jocelyn Greenleaf; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Milo Public Library, 4 Pleasant St., Milo, ME 04463. Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home.
