Roger L. Perkins

DOVER-FOXCROFT - Roger Lewis Perkins, 63, husband of Gladys (Greene) Perkins, died May 4, 2011, at a Bangor hospital with his family by his side. Roger was born Dec. 11, 1947, in Milo, the son of Kenneth and Bertha (Fisher) Perkins. He was a self-employed man for many years, driving his own logging truck. Later on he went to work for French Logging and was a crane operator until his death. Roger was a kind and gentle man, who was a wonderful provider for his wife and children. Roger is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gladys of Dover-Foxcroft; and two daughters, Tammy Perkins and her little dog, Amber, the "princess," of Poland, and Kellie (Perkins) Grant and her husband, Brian, and their son, Nathan, of Eddington. He is also survived by a sister, Eulah Napaliano of Portland, and her sons, "Butchy," Sam and Philip; a brother, Rodney McSorley and his wife, Della, and son, Eric, of Nevada; a brother, Larry McSorley and his wife, Martha, of Bangor, and their children, Laurie and Mike; a brother, Arthur Perkins and his wife, Sandra, of Dover-Foxcroft, and their children, Clifton and Dorrinda; and an aunt, Anna Perkins of Virginia, and her children, Glen, Susan and Brian. Roger was predeceased by his parents. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where a memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, with the Rev.
