Donald E. Jenkins

BROWNVILLE - Donald E. Jenkins, 93, husband of the late Janie (McGrath) Jenkins, died Jan. 16, 2011, at Maine Veterans Home, Bangor. He was born June 28, 1917, in Danforth, the son of James Blaine and Clymena C. (Dewitt) Jenkins. A U.S. Army veteran, Don worked in the woods for many years; his last employer was Paul N. Foulkes, Inc., Brownville. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 0178, Waterville. Donald is survived by a son, James E. Jenkins Sr. and his wife, Carla, of Brownville; a daughter, Sandra Perkins and her husband, Arthur, of Dover-Foxcroft; four grandchildren, Clifton Perkins and his wife, Sue, Dorrinda Perkins and her companion, Kevin Wagner, Lee-Ann Jenkins and her companion, Matt Tardy, and James E. Jenkins Jr.; three great-granddaughters, Katrina Segerson and her husband, Chris, Colleen Jenkins and Janie Lynn Jenkins; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, James B. Jenkins Jr.; and three sisters, Geraldine Monahan, Ethel Lee and Doris Jenkins. Friends are invited to call 1 p.m. until the time of memorial service 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, with the Rev. Ann Purdy officiating.
