Karen Jo Lambert

CORINTH - Karen Jo Lambert, 55, the wife of Frank Lambert, died June 15, 2010, at her residence after a long bout with cancer. She was born Nov. 20, 1954, in Milo, the daughter of William and Amy (Mott) Long. She was a former employee of Dexter Shoe after which she worked as a medical coder at Eastern Maine Medical Center for 15 years. Karen loved gardening, beading, collecting rocks, shopping and being with her animals and her family. Surviving, in addition to her husband of Corinth and her daughter, Jolene French of Levant, are her grandchildren, Kaleb, Cassidy, Felycia, Kaylee and Dawson; a stepfather, Wallace Blowers; a stepson, William Lambert and his wife, Victoria; a daughter-in-law and Karen's dedicated caretaker, Denise French; and four sisters, Phyllis Randall of Bradford, Barbara Turner of LaGrange, Loretta Reed of New Hampshire and Kathy Herbest of Milo. Karen was predeceased by her father, William Long; her mother, Amy (Mott) Long Blowers; a son, James French Jr.; and a brother, John Long. The family wishes to thank Dr. Eric Hartz and the staff at Cancer Care of Maine for the wonderful care given to Karen during her illness. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth, with Dalton Dunfee officiating.
