Frances M. Weston

BROWNVILLE AND CAMBRIDGE - Frances M. (Stone) Weston, 64, went to be with her beloved husband, Edward, June 14, 2010. She was born Oct. 9, 1945, the daughter of Edward and Bernice (Russell) Stone. Frances worked for Dexter Shoe for many years as a laborer and supervisor, where she was known by many as the "General." After Dexter Shoe closed she went back to school to earn her certified nurse's aide license for home health care. Frances loved the Boston Red Sox and loved to fish. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a crafty person and could fix anything. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 29 years, Edward; her sister, Peggy; and in-laws, Ida and Herbert Weston. Surviving Frances are her children, David and his wife, Linda, of Bangor, Penny Cox and her fiance, Wayne Archie, of Winter Harbor, and Karen and her husband, Brock Gourley, of Cambridge, with whom she resided; her grandchildren, Alan Michael, Chelsey, Shelby, Joshua, Travis and Garrett; her great-granddaughter, Madilyn; brothers and sister, Ronnie, Walter and Kay, Pat and Ginger Stone, all of Brownville, and Ginger and John Weston of Brownville Junction; sisters-in-law, June Marsh of Milo and Barbie Sickler of Brownville Junction; brother-in-law, Jared and Anne Weston of Brownville; several nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by two very special "elves," Deanna Bellatty and Laurie Jones of Brownville Junction. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, June 17, in the family lot at Pinetree Cemetery, Brownville Junction, with Pastor Ann Purdy officiating. Friends and family are invited to share fellowship and stories after the service at American Legion Hall, Brownville Junction.
