HAMPDEN - Charlene Marie (Grinnell) Robichaud, 74, beloved wife of Phillip L. Robichaud Sr., passed away peacefully in her sleep on her birthday Feb. 28, 2010, at her home. She was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Milo, the daughter of the late Charles A. and Edith L. (Newman) Grinnell. Charlene was a 1953 graduate of Milo High School. She worked for Leen Electric, Eastern Corp., secretary to the principal of Milo High School, New York Life Insurance Co. and before retiring, was secretary to the president of International Pulp and Paper Makers union. Charlene was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Hampden. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Phillip Sr. of Hampden; children, Laurie Budge and her husband, Jeffrey, of Hermon, Phillip Robichaud Jr. and his wife, Robin, of Siler City, N.C., Mary Deane and her husband, Jay, of Carmel, and David Robichaud and his wife, Linda, of Hermon; one brother, Harold Grinnell and wife, Jean, of Milo; two sisters, Eleanor Cyr of Milo, and Helen Beal and husband, Harold, of Jonesport; one aunt, Mildred Perry of Hermon; nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Jerod, Sarah, Brittany, Taylor, Alex, Frances, Hannah and David Henry; one great-grandson, Kobie; nieces, nephews and cousins, including special cousins, Isabelle Newman Roberts of Milo and Ethelyn Ellis of Glenburn; and her beloved dog, Sammi. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Grinnell; and a brother-in-law, Eddie Cyr. Family and friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 70 Western Ave., Hampden.
