LAGRANGE - Our special angel, Laura Anne Gray, 15, left us to be with her Lord, Jan. 5, 2010, at a Bangor hospital, due to a sudden illness. She was surrounded by family and friends, and was truly loved by all. Laura was born March 22, 1994, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Charles and Tracy (Karpowicz) Gray. She touched everyone she came across through her gentle ways and beautiful smile. She was a freshman at Penquis Valley High School, loved sports, especially basketball, ice fishing with her Dad and shopping with her Mom. She enjoyed spending time with Devon, her closest friends, and had a special bond with her sister and brother. She will be missed forever. Laura is survived by her parents; her sister, Alyssa; and brother, Joshua, all of LaGrange; maternal grandparents, James and Barbara Karpowicz of Orneville; paternal grandparents, Charlie Gray of Brownville and Barbara Gray of LaGrange; great-grandparents, Galen and Connie Carey of Milo and Elouise Patchell; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will also be missed by her boyfriend, Devon Armstrong and his family. The family would like to thank Dr. Jonathan Wood and the staff at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Grant 8, PICU, for their efforts to keep Laura with us. Friends are invited to call 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Penquis Valley High School, Milo, where a memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, with Pastor Ed Costain officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to her family to assist with expenses. Please make checks payable to Tracy Gray, care of Maine Savings Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 447, Milo, ME 04463. Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
