EBEEME LAKE - Richard R. Rosebush "Dick," 64, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ebeemee Lake, died June 8, 2009, in St. Petersburg, Fla., after a short battle with cancer. Born in Milo, he was son of the late Paul Rosebush and Ruth (Willey) Rosebush. He was predeceased by his brother, Dion. Dick spent his early years growing up in Brownville Junction. He moved with his mother after completing the seventh grade to Huntington Beach, Calif., where he graduated high school in 1962. He attended Orange County Community College and went on to serve in the 160th Infantry National Guard. Dick's passion for cars and his expertise in auto mechanics led him to open his own business, R & R Automotives, Huntington Beach, Calif. After more than 30 years in operation, he sold his business and relocated to St. Petersburg, Fla., to be closer to his elderly mother, where he became well known for being a very competent carpenter and handyman. He also gave his time to the elderly in the park where his mother lived. During the last 18 years, Dick had divided his time between his home in St. Petersburg, Fla., and his beloved camp at Ebeemee Lake; a camp that his father built. He spent many summers at the lake with family and friends creating wonderful memories. Dick loved puttering in his shed and chasing the white ball at Katahdin Country Club, Milo. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who may have needed it. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A graveside interment and celebration of his life will be held the last week of July at Pine Tree Cemetery, Brownville Junction. Family members may be contacted for details.
