Ida A Brawn

LEVANT - Ida A. (Levensailor) Brawn, 91, went home peacefully to be with her Lord Feb. 27, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor health care center, after a long illness. She was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Sebec, daughter of Harry and Cynthia Levensailor. Ida will be remembered as a very loving and caring person who enjoyed crafts and animals. She was a member of Levant and Glenburn Senior Citizens, Minerva Grange of Levant and a former member of Levant Rescue Unit and Fire Department. Surviving are one daughter, Lila Curtis of Levant; three grandchildren, Carlton Curtis and his wife, Kathleen, of Levant, Edward Curtis and his wife, Rebecca, of Fort Fairfield and Timothy Curtis of Rhode Island; six great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Nora Smart. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 2, with the Rev. Rick Lambert, pastor of Swanville Community Church, officiating. Spring interment will be at Waugh Cemetery, Levant.
