Vaughanell Earl Buckley

OCALA, FL - Vaughanell Earl Buckley, 69, died peacefully Jan. 4, 2009, with his wife, Donna, by his side at Hospice Tuscany House. He courageously fought a battle against lung and liver cancer for 11/2 years and is now at rest. Vaughn was born in Brownville. He moved to Ocala, Fla., from Bangor in 1975. He loved RV-ing and spent summer months in Maine and Flagler Beach, Fla. He enjoyed going on cruises and gardening. He was owner of Built In Vac Systems, Ocala, Fla.; and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3656 for 26 years, past president for two years, secretary for 18 years and most recently was a trustee. Vaughn is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna; his mother, Lillian (Greenhalge) Buckley of Bangor; his two daughters, Carmen and Roger Gary of Dunnellon, Fla., and Carrie and Mike Colbert of Ocala, Fla.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Phillip and Nancy Buckley of Hampden and Earl and Penny Buckley of Levant; a sister, Joyce and Dexter Kinney of Westport Island; four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law; special aunt, Ellen (Buckley) Miller of Bangor; his beloved dog, Jesus, whom he referred to as "Boy"; and many special friends at the Eagles Club. Vaughn was predeceased by his father, Earl A. Buckley. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3656, 4201 NE 36th Ave., Ocala, Fla.
