Patricia Brewer

LAGRANGE - Patricia "Patty" Brewer, 72, daughter of Willard and Esther (Osgood) Brown, passed away Nov. 21, 2008, surrounded by her family after a long illness. The joys of her life were her children, grandchildren, great-grandson and her pets. An avid reader, Patty had an extensive personal library and had been known to stay up late into the night with a good book. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, blessing her family with many blankets, sweaters and mittens to remember her by. Her favorite place in the world was her beloved camp, which was built by her grandfather and father, and has been a place of peace and enjoyment her entire life. Patty lived to help others, working as a certified nurse's aide for many years and caring for her parents until their deaths. Her kids and grandkids were her priority at all times. The warmth of her hugs healed many broken hearts and soothed many hurts throughout the years. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert W. Brewer. She is survived by five children and their families, Lynn (Brewer) Wardwell and her husband, Scott, and their children, Aaron and Amanda and her fianc?, Travis Bemis, and Amanda's son, Harley; Darrell Brewer and his wife, Belinda, and their children, Bert and his wife, Nicole, and Derek; Fred Brewer and his wife, Cynthia, and their daughter, Jennifer; Donald Brewer and his wife, Betty, and their children, Benjamin, Nicole and Matt; and Sally (Brewer) Bilancia and her husband, Ron, and their daughter, Lauren. She is also survived by her uncle, Samuel "Jack" Brown, whom she thought of as a brother. Visiting hours will take place 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at United Methodist Church, Route 15, Main Street, East Corinth, where funeral services will take place 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25. A reception will be held immediately afterward at the church. Graveside committal services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patty's memory to Komen Maine Susan G.
