Rosamond C. Foster

MILLINOCKET AND ENGLEWOOD FL - Rosamond C. Foster, 84, passed away Nov. 13, 2007, surrounded by her family, in Englewood, Fla. She was born Aug. 2, 1923, in LaGrange, the daughter of Irvin and Hazel (Clark) Chase. Rosamond graduated from Stearns High School, Millinocket, in 1941 and then attended Ricker Junior College. She was assistant treasurer of Barco Federal Credit Union and retired as manager of the Millinocket branch of Merrill Trust Co. Rosamond is survived by her husband of 65 years, Irvin "Cut" Foster; two daughters, Carolyn and her husband, Larry Willinski, of Millinocket, and Katherine Foster of Portland; four grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, David Lyons, of Sabattus, David Willinski of Bethel, Conn., Father Dominic "Ted" Foster, T.O.R., of Loretto, Pa., and Anthony Foster of Portland; and two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Taryn Lyons of Sabattus; a brother, Dr. George Chase and his wife, Ruth, of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Marie Foster of Millinocket; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Irvin Foster, in 2003; and a sister, Phyllis Brown, in 2005. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at First Congregational Church, Maple Street, East Millinocket. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to Stearns Alumni Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 188, Millinocket, ME 04462.
