Juanita Moody Reynolds

LAGRANGE AND PENOPSCOT - Juanita Moody Reynolds, 53, died May 2, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 1, 1954, in Rockland, daughter of Herbert Stevens and Janette (Heath) Moody Sr. She was raised in Penobscot and worked for 25 years as a cook at the Maine Maritime Academy, traveling many places with the Maine Maritime Academy ship. She was currently employed at Treats Falls House, Orono, where she was greatly appreciated by the residents and staff. She volunteered wherever she could and helped with the Special Olympics. She was a member of the American Legion Post No. 175, Old Town, and was recently elected as sergeant-at-arms of the Women's Auxiliary. Her generosity and caring spirit will be missed by many. Juanita is survived by her mother, Janette Belanger of Castine; her brother, Herbert Stevens Moody Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Penobscot; her nieces and nephews, Amy Gray, Laurie Moody, Jennifer Moody, William Moody and Brian Moody; her significant other, Rusty Clark of Lagrange; many cousins, including special cousin, May Heath; and many friends. She was predeceased by her father, Herbert S. Moody Sr.; her stepfather, Irving Belanger; special grandparents, Arthur and Gladys Heath. A graveside memorial service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Orland, at a time to be announced by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Treats Falls House, P.O. Box 457, Orono, ME 04473.
