KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Alan Michael Graves Sr. passed away Dec. 15, 2003, at his home after a courageous fight against Scleroderma. He was born March 30, 1948. Alan spent 35 years as a prototype machinist excelling in every aspect of his craft and in many different industries and always took pride in the great contributions he made. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Gladys and Eddie Murray; aunt and uncle, Marie and Cecil Storman. Alan was a loving husband of 27 years, father and grandfather and is survived by his loving wife, Debra Graves; children, Alan Michael Graves Jr. of Texas, Heather Marie Stanfield of New Mexico, Kristine Elizabeth Jones and husband, Pat Jones, of New Mexico; three grandchildren, Kelton Downen, Meykiah Downen, and Taber Stanfield; parents, John and Joyce Graves; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Cindy Lowe of, Maine; uncle, Eugene Cooley of Pennsylvania; and cousins, Linda, John, Charles, Annette and especially Sandy; parents-in-law, Harvey and Barbara Stormann Sr.; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Maynard Nash, Harvey and Debi Stormann Jr. and Karen Stormann; nieces and nephews, Erin, Jessie, Meredith, Nicole, Christopher, Danielle, Aimee, Maeghan, Timmy, and Shawn; grandniece, Kelliann. Special thanks to Meredith and Nicole for their loving care and support and to Dr. Hal Hughes and his staff at East Tennessee Pulmonary. A memorial service will be held at a later date in New Mexico.
