Fern P. McMannus

MILO - Fern P. McMannus, 89, wife of the late Leland J. McMannus, died peacefully Feb. 10, 2007, surrounded by her family, at Dexter Health Care, Dexter. She was born Dec. 11, 1917, in Crystal, the daughter of Orville G. and Amber (Rich) Armstrong. Fern worked for 16 years at Daggett's Drugstore in Milo, then at PCI in Brownville, until her retirement in 1976. She enjoyed working in her flower garden. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by a son, Glen and wife, Brenda Mc-Mannus, of Milo; a daughter, Amber Lea and husband, Darryl Thomas, of Unity; three grandchildren, Michael Ellis, Becky McMannus and Lee McMannus; and three great-grandchildren, April, Josh and Rachel. She was predeceased by a daughter, Molly P.; a brother, Kenneth; sisters, Eva Clarke, Mona Matthews, Mildred Trim and Grace Burton. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, where funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, with Pastor David Mumford officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. MILO - Graveside committal services for Fern P. McMannus, wife of the late Leland J. McMannus, who died Feb.10, 2007, will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, at the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, with Pastor David Mumford officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home.
