Arlene Ruth Osgood

MILO - Arlene Ruth Osgood, 75, wife of the late Willis I. Osgood Jr., died Sept. 10, 2006, at home. She was born Sept. 29, 1930, in Atkinson, the daughter of Walter Dean and Myrtle Evelyn (Moulton) Buzzell. She attended LaGrange schools and Beal College. She had been employed at the local IGA and A&P stores for many years. Arlene was very active in the United Methodist Church, Milo, and had served on the administrative board. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Chester Knights of Winterport; a daughter, Nadine Hunter of Glade Spring, Va.; three brothers, Lloyd Buzzell of Corinna, Kenneth Buzzell of Stetson and Carl Buzzell of Milford, Conn.; three sisters, Beulah McFarlin of Bangor, Charlene Carey of Howland and Shirley Brodeur of Gardiner; two granddaughters, one grandson, two great- grandsons, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo, where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, with the Rev. Michele St. Cyr officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the building or memorial fund, Park Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 116, Milo, ME 04463 or to the charity of choice.
