EDDINGTON - Anthony J. Roy, 59, died Aug. 3, 2006, in Bradley. We know he was an angel and God has called him home. "Tony" was born Oct. 30, 1946, in Milo, the son of Robert and Winnifred (Dow) Roy. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saratoga for four years. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 84, Orono. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Sandy Roy of California; his brother, James Roy and fianc?e, Bonnie of Holden; sister-in-law Ruth Roy of Clifton; nephews, Rich Roy Jr., James Roy Jr., Michael Roy, Jacob Roy; nieces, Sara Roy, Sandy Roy and Brandy Roy; several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Robert J. Roy, Bobby Roy and Frederick "Rick" Roy. He has finally earned his wings to fly and will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. Relatives and friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A graveside service with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the family lot in Pine Tree Cemetery, Brownville Junction.
