WEST ENFIELD - Ronald J. Thibodeau, 60, husband of Joyce (McElroy) Thibodeau, died Feb. 1, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 28, 1945, in Seigas, N.B., the son of Alyre and Clauda (Gauvin) Thibodeau. Ronald was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. He drove truck for Thompson Trucking for many years. He dearly loved his grandchildren and was always outside doing things with them. He enjoyed camping and puttering around the yard. In addition to his wife, Joyce; he is survived by two sons, Scott Thibodeau and his wife, Janis, of Medford and Eric Thibodeau and his fiance, Melanie True, of Howland; four grandchildren, Austin, Erica, Paige and Gabrielle; a brother, Robert of Patten; a sister, Claudette Dube of Florida; his stepmother, Merle Thibodeau; four stepbrothers, Mike and Ruth Heath of Brownville, Kevin and Ellen Heath of West Enfield, Joel and Sue Heath of Monticello and Eddie Heath of Houlton; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Brutus. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Ronald Jr.; a brother, Raymond; and a sister, Raymonde. The family would like to express its appreciation to the staff of Cancer Care of Maine and also the staff of the sixth floor at Eastern Maine Medical Center for their excellent care and compassion given during Ronald's illness. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Leo Catholic Church, Howland, with the Rev. Andre Houle, presiding. Spring interment will be in West Enfield Cemetery.
