David Sawyer Thompson Jr.

CORINTH - David Sawyer Thompson Jr., 50, the husband of Jean "Chickie" (Silva) Thompson, died Dec. 8, 2005, at his residence after a long illness. He was born Jan. 17, 1955, in St. Steven, N.B., Canada, the son of David and Ruth (Campbell) Thompson Sr. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps and later became an employee of D.A. MacIsaac's of Boston for 22 years, retiring as Vice President. He coached sports for the Boys and Girls Club in Boston and loved to watch all sports on TV. He was naturalized this past year, a fact he was very proud of. He was the owner of the Small Town Video's in Milo and Corinth and this past spring, purchased the Pizza Shop in Corinth. One of his last requests was "Do not close the business for my funeral service." Surviving in addition to his wife of 33 years and his mother, both of Corinth; are his sons, David Sawyer Thompson III and his fiancé, Nicole and her son, Kainan, all of Bangor, James Robert Thompson and his wife, Jimel, of Corinth and Daniel Steven Thompson and his wife, Jessica, of Kenduskeag; a daughter, Amanda Lee Thompson of Corinth; three grandchildren, Breanna, J.R. and Grace; a brother, Arthur Thompson and his wife, Joanne, of Dedham, Mass.; two sisters, Sylvia Hackett and her husband, Mark, of Billerica, Mass. and Nancy Bither and her husband, Butch, of Corinth; special family members, Shawn Tyrrell and his wife, Jessica and their children, Emily, Caitlin and Joey.
