Rodney J. Tanguay

BROWNVILLE - Rodney J. Tanguay, 61, husband of Joan (Ferris) Tanguay, died May 3, 2002, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born Jan. 26, 1941, in Elliotsville Plantation, the son of Joseph A. and Margaret (Fontaine) Tanguay. He retired from the U.S. Navy, after serving 20 years. Most recently, he had been the owner and operator of Rod's Sharpall. Rod enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on his computer with his e-mail pals. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Joan of Brownville; a son, Joseph of Bath; two stepsons, James Brassard and William and his wife, Alison Brassard, all of East Brunswick; two daughters, Sabrina Coburn and her husband, Chuck and Traci Footer and her husband, Robert, all of Bath; a stepdaughter, Ann Friedman and her husband, Paul of Beverly, Mass.; three brothers, Richard of Milo, Robert of Holden, and Mark of Brownville; two sisters, Margaret Russell of Orono, Leona Dube of Brownville Junction; five grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Pinetree Cemetery, Brownville Junction. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Milo.
