Leeman A. Russell

BANGOR - Leeman A. Russell, 57, died unexpectedly Jan. 22, 2000, at Bangor. He was born in Smyrna Oct. 10, 1942, the son of George and Josephine (Bragdon) Russell. Leeman graduated from Brownville High School, Class of 1961 and then went into the U.S. Army serving from 1961-1964. Leeman had worked at Dexter Shoe for many years and currently was employed by Asplundh Tree Service as a foreman. Leeman was a special person who touched many lives and will be sadly missed. He was a hard worker with a sense of humor. His friends all knew of his love of music and the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid sports fan who bowled and especially enjoyed watching basketball and football. In addition to his mother of Brownville, he is survived by his companion, Val McInnis and daughter, Amy of Milo; his maternal grandmother, Ella Bragdon of Houlton; a son, Robert and wife, Julie of Milo; a daughter, Lynette and husband, Kirk Beard of Derby; three brothers, Roger of Schoodic Lake, Zedoc of Brownville and Wayne of Smyrna; six grandchildren, Shelisha, Skylar, Nycole, Ryan, Joshua and Joseph; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends are invited to call 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at the Lary Funeral Home in Milo, where a Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, with the Rev. David McLeish officiating.
