ADOPT A SCIENTIST PROGRAM - Fifth graders at Brownville Elementary School have been involved in an "Adopt A Scientist" service learning grant this year. By working with the town manager and selectmen, the students attempted to identify and label vegetation along the Pleasant River Walk. Last fall, the students met with the board who identified this project as a need. With funds from the grant, students contracted with Joe Beres to make frames for the signs that will be posted along the trail. Pictured, from left, with the new signs are Aaron Herbest, Alana Wooster, Asa Sproul and Jason Thomas.
