Duprey Jr. of Medway, Maine has announced his candidacy as a "Clean Elections" candidate for the House of Representatives for District 139, which is comprised of East Millinocket, Medway, Woodville,Chester, portions of Lincoln,Maxfield,Medford, Milo, plantations of Seboeis and Lake View, along with several unorganized territories.A native of East Millinocket,Duprey graduated from Schenck High School and Northern Maine Vocational, and has recently earned his Associates Degree in Pulp and Paper Technology. He is now pursuing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration through the University of Maine at Augusta. He is employed at Great Northern Paper as a technician in the Quality Assurance Department.Over the years, Duprey has been active in scouting, serving as Cub Master, and was also involved in the Scouts to Sweden project. He has served on Medway's School Board and planning board, as well as the fire department. He has also been active on several Masonic levels,serving as Master of Nollesemic Lodge, District Deputy for the 24th district, president of Northern Penobscot Shrine Club, Bangor Valley Scottish Rite and Onawa Chapter 130 OES.Duprey is presently on the Board of Directors for Eastmill Federal Credit Union. He is also working as a Trustee for the Maine Credit Union League Insurance Trust on their Governmental Affairs Committee.Issues of serious concern to Duprey are educational funding, rising health care costs and the decrease of health care services, especially in remotely populated areas.Duprey lives in Medway with his family.
