MILO – Thirty-one club members and 13 guests attended the Milo Garden Club's Victorian tea held on
May 14 at the Pleasant Park Community Center. Victorian-style poetry and sayings given by club members were included in the program. Trelba Rollins read about the life of author Emily Dickinson.

Some of the items shown included at the tea were pictures of family from earlier times, memoirs passed down in families, an old autograph book, antique dishes and a scrapbook of early America.

The tables were set individually÷each one a beautiful display of the finest china and linens. The room was decorated with colorful, fresh flowers and a feeling of the finery of the Victorian time prevailed throughout the afternoon as we drank tea and ate dainty sandwiches and cakes.

Following the tea, a regular meeting was held. Officers of the club include Betty Willett, president; Beverly Tucker, vice-president; Helen Carey, secretary; and Shirlene Ladd, treasurer.
