PVHS names Honor Parts for Class of 2002

MILO John Robinson, principal of Penquis Valley High School in Milo, announced the Honor Parts for the Class of 2002's Graduation which will be held on June 16 at 2pm.

This years valedictorian is Paul Kusnierz. He is the son of Dennis and Victoria Kusnierz of LaGrange. During his high school years, Kusnierz was a track athlete and team captain, a State Science 'Fair winner and member of the .National Honor Society. Next year he will attend the University of Maine and plans to major in biochemistry.

The class salutatorian is Matthew Morris. He is the son of Walter and Karen Morris of Milo. While at Penquis Morris was President of |the National Honor Society, earned second place in the BEAM competitions and was active in Big Brother/Big Sisters. Next year, he plans to attend the University of Maine and study civil engineering.

R y a n Stanchfield is the First Honor Essayist. He is the son of Donald and Susan Stanchfield of Brownville. While at PVHS Stanchfield was the winner of three Decker Awards, a member of the National Honor Society and a four sport (golf, basketball, track and tennis) letter winner. Next year he plans to enter the United States Marines.

Elizabeth Laverty will deliver this year's Second Honor Essayist address. Laverty is the daughter of Roberta Laverty of Milo and Edward Laverty of Medford. She has served as Key Club President, was a four year letter winner in track and a member of the National Honor Society. She will attend Northeastern University next year and plans to major in journalism.
