REALTY OF MAINE - Jeff Davis, local representative for Realty of Maine, works in his Sebec home office. Davis, who recently moved to the area from Texas with his family, handles buying and selling of real estate in entire Penquis region.

SEBEC Buying or selling a home is a big decision.

And sometimes choosing a realtor to guide you through the process can be an equally tough decision.

Fortunately, there are realtors like Realty of Maine's Jeff Davis, a newcomer to the area whose number-one goal is meeting people's needs.

"I believe in providing customers with personal service,"he said. " I don't just take your listing, hang my sign out and walk away. I believe in communication and taking care of my customers."

Davis represents a statewide network of realtors formerly known as Realty Executives from his home office on the Milo Road in Sebec

Although he was only recently certified as a realtor, Davis has extensive background in customer service after working as the senior project manager for TXU Electric and Gas, one of the nation's largest utilities . It was my belief in treating everybody like a human being."

Through handling listings in the entire Penquis region, Davis said he hopes to help people find and sell their home in a way that works for them.

"I'm here to provide a service," he said. "I want people to feel good about Realty of Maine and Jeff Davis."

Davis himself is no stranger to the challenges of home buying. He, his wife Daphne and their two children moved to the area this spring after living in the Fort Worth area of Texas for several years.

"Maine is a lot different than Fort Worth," he admitted, "but we like it. We wanted a good place to raise a family, and
Maine is rated as a number-one place in the nation to do that."

He said he looks forward to meeting people in area and helping with their real estate goals. "Home is more than just a
place to throw your dirty clothes or whatever," he said. "It's a part of you. Finding a home is part of following dreams, and I want to help people have their dreams come true."
