MILO On a hot and sunny afternoon, members of the Milo Tennis Club gathered for the group's first tournament of the summer.

Five doubles teams competed Saturday in the Milo Field of Dreams Mixed Doubles tournament at the Field of Dreams tennis courts in Milo. In the round robin tourney, each team played four matches and the winner was determined by the number of sets and games won over the course of the day.

First place went to Travis Ellis and Lindsay Hamlin, who won all four of their matches to end with eight sets and 49 games. Torrey Ellis and Chris Hamlin won six sets and 39 games to finish up in second place.

Coming in at third were Bob and Mary Lou Lee with four sets and 42 games, just ahead of Mike Weston and Kate Hamlin, who won three sets and 36 games. lan Carey and Liza Comeau, playing in their first Milo Tennis Club tournament, finished fifth with 16 games.

The club plays together every Tuesday and Sunday, and holds tournaments throughout the summer.
