Milo voters agree to sell historic chairs

Article from The Piscataquis Observer, Vol. 164, No. 51, December 18, 2002

MILO Voters at a special town meeting last week agreed to sell the old auditorium chairs in the Milo Town Hall.

Town Manager, Jane Jones said the vote was six to five in favor of the sale by bid of the wooden chairs. There are about 100 chairs up for sale, which were used in the balcony of the auditorium.

Jones said the public bid will take place sometime after the first of the year. Minimum bid is $10 per chair, she said. Some chairs already have been sold.

The Milo board of selectmen meets next Jan. 7.
