Tucker comes to Atkinson
Article from The Piscataquis Observer, Vol. 165, No. 5, January 29, 2003
COLD SMOKE RIDERS SNOWMOBILE CLUB of Atkinson recently purchased this 2003 model 1000 Tucker from Cooks Equipment Co. of Newport, Vermont. The new Tucker has all rubber tracks which pack trails much better and are easier on fuel with less maintenance. It is powered by a 130 HP Cummins turbocharged diesel engine. It pulls a 16' x 18' wide mogul master trail drag. The machine is housed at Snows Saw Shop at Atkinson Comer. The club grooms 41 miles of trails primarily through Atkinson and Sebec, and into the outskirts of Charleston, Garland, Omeville and East Dover. Operators of the Tucker are Jim Brawn and Dan Brawn, who are responsible for North Atkinson and the rail bed between East Dover and Milo suspension bridge. Mike Snow II and and Mike Snow are responsible for ITS 83 from Atkinson Comer to the bridge at the Charleston town line and across the west side of town to intersect trails with Garland and Dover. Dan Brawn and Tim Goodine are responsible for club side and loop trails.
