Article from The Piscataquis Observer, Vol. 165, No. 45, November 05, 2003

SEBEC Rainfall in Piscataquis County last month broke the record for October.

According to Bill Larrabee, weather observer at the Sebec Lake weather station, 9.29 inches of rain fell in October.

Normal rainfall for the month is four inches, he said.

The previous record for October was 7.87 inches in 1990, according to Larrabee.

Last week, the National Weather Service has declared the drought that has plagued the state for more than two years officially over.
