Milo man arrested for harassing ex-girlfriend

Article from The Piscataquis Observer, Vol. 165, No. 46, November 12, 2003

MILO Brownville police arrested a Milo man last week for harassing a former girlfriend.

Anthony Cameron, 49, was arrested Nov. 1 on one charge of harassment. According to Milo/Brownville Police Chief Todd Lyford, Cameron reportedly made statements to former girlfriend on Halloween that the he "had candy with poison for her" and asked her to come trick-or-treat-ing.
"This is an ongoing domestic-type situation," Lyford said.

The police department had served Cameron with a harassment order, which effectively acts as a warning, Lyford said, after Cameron reportedly broke windows in a vehicle and left harassing notes for the former girlfriend.

"He violated that harassment order," Lyford said, causing his arrest. Cameron, who made bail from Piscataquis County Jail in Dover- Foxcroft, is scheduled to appear in Dover-Foxcroft District Court on the charge Dec. 22.
