BROWNVILLE Brownville Elementary launched Read With Me: The 2004 RIF Community Reading Challenge on Monday, Feb. 9, marking the beginning of two weeks of children's literacy activities involving local children and adults. RIF is Reading Is Fundamental, Inc., the nation's largest children's and family literacy organization. This is the 19th year MetLife Foundation has sponsored a RIF reading challenge.

Volunteer opportunities exist for local residents to participate in children's literacy activities during the two-week challenge.
