Sebec home break-in nets guns, drugs, cash

Article from Bangor Daily News, Wednesday, November 03, 2004

SEBEC - A Route 6 home near the Four Corners was burglarized Sunday, the third time in recent years. Four guns, prescription drugs and a large safe containing about $8,000 in cash were taken from the home during the latest break-in, Lt. Robert Young of the Piscataquis County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday.

Young said the burglars apparently had known there was a safe in the house, because they brought a dolly to move it. The dolly was left behind and police have dusted the tool for fingerprints, he said.

The break-in occurred during the afternoon.

Young said a large baseball collection was stolen from the home about a year ago. The collection was never recovered.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen activity in the area of the Four Corners on Sunday to call 564-3304.
