Comeau wins tennis tournament

MILO On Saturday, August 4, Liza Comeau of Atkinson won the round robin women's tennis tournament at the Harris Field courts on Elm St.

Comeau, the former number one tennis player at Penquis Valley High School, had no trouble defeating her opponents as she won a total of 30 games and lost only three on the way to the championship.

Robin Demers of Milo was awarded the second place trophy with a total of 23 games won.

Jan Waterman finished in third place with 19 wins. Chris Hamlin was fourth with 17.
Barb Hamlin came in fifth place with 11 wins and Lynn Lubas placed sixth with seven wins.

The next tennis tournament in Milo is a men's singles tourney scheduled for Saturday, August 19.
