Football and Evangelization: What's Up With That !?!

The first and only 7 day and 6 night full contact football camp of its kind in New England is being held August 10 through 17, 2009.

Several local area men will be participating (coaching and teaching) at a full contact football camp that combines teaching some of the fundamentals of the Holy Bible and American Football. Sponsored by the Northern Maine Football League (an affiliate with Brewer Coastal Sports Inc.). The camp is for young men between the ages of 14 and 17 entering or in High School). All equipment and meals will be provided for the campers for 7 days and 6 nights at the River of Life Bible Camp in Maxfield, Maine located 7 miles north of Howland.

The cost for the camp is: $105.00 for in state campers and S150.00 for out of state campers. The camp is for first time or experienced players with a limit of 48 campers.

The following men will be teaching: Justin Harvey from Calvary Chapel Orrington, Travis Graves, Calvary Chapel Orrington, Eric Mitchell (music) from Calvary Chapel Down East Trenton, Dan Smith from Glad Tidings Church Bangor, Bill Fernandez from Hudson Baptist, Brad Cook from Belfast Assembly of God and Nick Beemis from the Rock Church.

Barb Hamlin from Milo Baptist Church will be guiding the campers on canoe adventures down the Piscataquis River.

Sherry Bracket owner of Wildwoods Lodge on Schoodic Lake in Brownville will be preparing meals and snacks for the entire week.
