Coffee House

July 05, 2002 - MILO

Today marked the first of hopefully many Coffee Houses held at the new Milo Town Hall Arts Center. The event was sponsored by Three Rivers Kiwanis, and featured the Smith Brothers and Chairback Gap. All proceeds from the event went towards the Milo Town Hall Arts Center Fund, to continue the rennovations of the building.

At this event, and at the Kiwanis Auction, TRC and TRN have sold some Milo memorabilia. We have sold old milo town reports, copies of The Milo Story, Vol. II, Milo Commemorative Coins, paperweights, and even plates. All the proceeds from these sales are going towards a reprinting of The Milo Story, by Lloyd Treworgy. This book is a history of Milo, and Volume I has been completely sold out. The Milo Historical Society and the Town of Milo are working towards raising the money to reprint the books.
