Milo Elementary Fall Fair

October 19, 2007 - TRC

Milo Elementary's Fall Fair is Friday, October 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m..

This is a night of fun and games for the kids, food for everyone, a bike raffle and an auction.

Admission is one box of tissues for student use in classrooms for the remainder of the year.

Notices of donations from students' families are coming in and we are excited to be auctioning off Christmas Trees, crafts, handmade sweaters, gift certificates for squash rolls and from Linda's Creations. Expect to bid on other wonderful home cooking including a delicious pumpkin roll.

Other merchandise donated by businesses and individuals include a decorative wildlife plate and plaque from The Curiosity Shop in Sebec and a coupon for one free horse riding lesson from Candyland Farms, also in Sebec. All the way from Portland, Maine we have beautiful tee shirts from a company called Milo in Maine. You can see these on their web site under the same name.

We are so excited to have received a signed book by Joan Gannij as one of our auction
items. The Elusive Moose arrived on Thursday of last week. You may remember reading about this book in a previous edition of The Three Rivers News. Requests for signed books by other authors have been made as well. Recently, I read two books by M.K. Preston and enjoyed them immensely. I was able to email the author...thanks to the internet...and the author is planning on sending one of her mysteries or other novels with her signature inside.

We have so much more on the way from parents and families and friends of Milo Elementary.

If any business or individual would like to donate to our auction, we would love to hear from you. Items may be taken to the school office or you can call 943-2122 for more information.
