Warrant for Milo's Special Town Meeting to be held on September 25, 2007

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE TOWN OF MILO, MAINE SEPTEMBER 25, 2007

TO: David Preble, Constable of the Town of Milo, in the County of Piscataquis, State of Maine:

GREETINGS:
In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the Inhabitants of the Town of Milo in the County of Piscataquis and State of Maine, qualified by law to vote in Town affairs, to assemble at the Town Hall in Milo, on 25 day of September, 2007 in the evening at 6:00 p.m. to act on the following articles, to wit:

ARTICLE 1
To elect a Moderator.

ARTICLE 2
To see if the Town will transfer its ownership of and all responsibility for the Penquis Animal Welfare Sanctuary building on Clinton Street without cost to Penquis Animal Welfare Sanctuary, Inc.

ARTICLE 3
To see if the Town will allow funds generated by the Milo Recreation Department by the Snack Shack and by other fund-raising activities to be used by the Recreation Department for appropriate recreational activities during the fiscal year in which they are generated.

ARTICLE 4
To see what action the Town will take to fund the anticipated shortfall of operating funds in the Milo Police Department from the present date until December 31, 2007.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
That the office of the Registrar of Voters in the Town Office will be open for the purpose of receiving voter registrations and for correcting the list of voters from eight (8:00) o'clock in the forenoon to five (5:00) o'clock in the evening on Monday through Friday to 25th day of September, 2007 on Special Town Meeting Day.
