Dear Fellow Alumni,

Another year has passed and I sincerely hope that you have had a happy and prosperous one.

June 30th will be a busy day beginning with a breakfast, hosted by the Dunham family, at the Park Street United Methodist Church from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. The cost will be $5.00 per person. If any class or group would like to be seated together, you may contact me at 207-943-7369 and arrangements will be made.

A welcome coffee and registration will be at the Milo Town Hall dining room on from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The annual MHS Alumni Banquet and Meeting will be at the Milo Town Hall in Milo.

Please sign in downstairs then join your classmates upstairs for appetizers and a social time from 4 to 5 p.m. with supper (menu on the reverse side of this letter) being served at 5 p.m. The meeting will take place following the banquet.

There will be an Army National Guard concert some time during the afternoon in Milo; location and exact time to be determined.

Ed Treworgy would like you to think about making a sizable donation to the new after-school program for SAD 41. SAD 41 is trying to raise money to fund its side of a $25,000 challenge grant for the fund that has been started with a $3500 donation by Three Rivers Kiwanis Club in memory of Murrel Harris. This fund is being administered by the Maine Community Foundation, which has in the past few years has maintained about 10 % interest. Half the interest will be used each year to fund after-school activities. Your donation would help us to raise the remaining $21,500 we need for the match and would help be greatly appreciated.

Reunions this year include:

Class of 42 - Would like to have a luncheon on Sat. 30th. Contact Helen Fowler no later than May 30th. at P.O. Box #4, Milo ME 04463

Class of 57 - Pleasant Park Community Center at noon on the 30th.

Class of 67 - Will also have a reunion at the Pleasant Park Community Center on July 29th beginning at 1pm. Please contact Stella Ekholm, 04 Main St. Apt. 3A, Orono Maine 04473, phone 207-0866-4483 or e mail stathereen2@yahoo.com.

Classes of 1947-1954 - Will again have their luncheon at the American Legion at 12 pm. The cost will be $8 per person. Contact Diana Burton at 207-943-5568 or Larry Stanchfield at 207-848-3701.

The Alumni Directory will be available again this year. The price will be $5.00 if you pick up your directory at the banquet or $6.00 if you want it mailed.

Many of the newsletters are returned due to incorrect addresses. It would be a tremendous help to Carolyn Sinclair if one person from each class would keep her updated with current addresses for their classmates.

The 2006 Milo High School Alumni scholarships were presented to three Penquis graduates from the Class of 2006. They were Jamie Perkins, grandson of Frank and Donna Perkins, lan Carey, grandson of Herbie Carey, and Dustin Grinnell, grandson of Harold and Jean Grinnell. Each of these graduates is a direct descendent of Milo High School alumni. There is room on your registration form to include a donation to the scholarship fund, if you so desire.

We hope to see you there. Don't forget to send in your dues as they are our primary means of financial support. Our numbers decrease every year as our classmates leave us. Please send your registration forms back no later than Friday, June 22nd, 2007, as we need an accurate count for the banquet. Please note that paper tickets will not be sent to pre-registered individuals; all reservations will be held at the door.
