Milo Harmony Camp 2013 !

May 16, 2013 - TRC - By Arthur Jette, Community Co-Ordinator

Parents of Milo area children, from six to nine years old, are encouraged to be on the look-out for registration forms for the annual Harmony Camp which is sponsored by Womancare. Through role play and creative activities, children will learn how to deal with bullying, and how to develop healthy relationships with friends. Children who participate in the camp will have the opportunity to carry out a community service project with the help of teen mentors to assist camp coordinators with activities. Children also learn how to make healthy snacks, which will be provided daily. Harmony Camp ends with a special event for family and friends, on June 27. This provides the children with an opportunity to showcase their new skills and share stories, songs and crafts.
The camp will be held in Milo at the Milo United Methodist Church, June 25, 26, 27, from 9-noon each day and snacks will be provided.
Registration forms have been sent home with your child from each of the schools. Tuition is only ten dollars per child to help offset the cost of tee shirts and supplies, and scholarships for the camp are available.
