Words of Wisdom from LaGrange Fire Department
February 08, 2013 - TRC - By Jen Baker
With the very unpredictable crazy weather we are expected to get I want to take a moment to remind everyone to be prepared for the worst.
Check flashlight batteries, have plenty of food that you are able to prepare if the power is out and water. You never know just how long we might be with out power.
Make sure if you are using a generator you have it in a well ventilated area.
If you are going to use a kerosene lantern, make sure you do not have anything near it and that it is on a stable surface.
The roads are already starting to get slippery, so be very careful if you go out.
The state of Maine is expected to get anywhere from a dusting to a couple of feet, depending on where you live and up to 45 mile per hour winds. So please take all necessary precautions to stay safe!
